Time for a semi-regular/dependably irregular SLATES update? Methinks so!
First off, I’ve gotta say I’m upset with the Winnipeg Jets decision to incorporate militarism into their new logo. Not stoked. There are enough people paying lip service to Canadian Forces these days, you’d think such a blatant appropriation of a major league sports team would be a little over the top? Not so. I can’t even see an AC/DC concert without having to endure patriotic screams that accompany the preshow flyby. Kim Thayil is dubious…
Anyways, there are more important matters to get to. Specifically, we put out two tasty new jams with our friends Stalwart Sons last month.

Second up, we’re two weeks away from heading out on our first European tour. This should be a gooder! Unfortunately, guitar slasher Mighty Romeo (aka Erico Suave) won’t be able to join us this time around. But fortunately (and previously mentioned?), we’ve enlisted Falklands’ rasta Lee pon de bass and Stef’ll rock the gitter this time around. Songs are sounding great and we’re even going to try rehearsing a Joy Division tune for this one. Dates below! Please get in touch if you can help us out on the ones we’ve still got available.
